Q: What should I do if my sprinklers will not shut off
A: Turn controller to the off position. If that doesn't work, turn off the water supply, preferably at the backflow if above ground and outside. Turn off the water supply to the irrigation system at the main valve in the basement or in the connection box by the water meter. Call Hydro-Tech at 703-263-2266 x 3 to speak with a Service Representative that can assist. You may also email us at service@htiva.com.
Q: How often do I water my lawn for best results?
A: The answer to this question is contingent on which sprinkler you have and how fast it distributes the water to your lawn as well as how hot it is outside. Generally, it is a good idea to provide your lawn with one or two inches of water every week. It is best to water your lawn between 3 and 8 in the morning, especially during the hot months. Watering your lawn when it is very hot outside can cause your grass to burn.
Q: Why should I get an automatic irrigation system?
A: When automatic irrigation systems are properly installed and programmed, they will save you a lot of time and conserve a large amount of water which will help save you money. Automatic irrigation systems can be programmed to water exact amounts during specific days.
You'll Save Time: Your system will do it for you automatically
You'll Save Water: Your system will be controlled by the latest technology that will not only automatically turn it on and off but it will even detect the amount of rainfall and shut off the system in the event of excessive rain.
You'll Save Money: Not only will your system deliver the proper amount of water to just the right areas but your landscaping will thrive and flourish due to the consistently adequate watering at optimal times during the day.
You'll Rest Easy: Knowing that your system was installed and serviced by one of the oldest and most respected companies in the industry.
